About Electrotek Ltd.
Founded in 1971, Electrotek is a Canadian owned company proudly located in Calgary, Alberta. We have been designing and manufacturing power factor correction (PFC) equipment since 1985.
In 1992, Electrotek reconfigured, narrowing its focal point down to this specific and specialized area within the electrical industry: designing and manufacturing PFC equipment. Technological advancements at that time spurred us to add (passive) harmonic filters to our product line as well.
More than 30 years later, that continues to be our one and only focus.
Throughout the years, Electrotek has continued to be progressive with advancements in technology, adding active harmonic filters (AHFs) and static var generators (SVGs) to our product line in 2008.
From the simplest off-the-shelf products to the most complex custom designs, we pride ourselves in providing our customers with a high level experience – from pre-sale service, to design, production, and after sales support.
For installation and maintenance service, we align with local contractors across Canada for installation and after sale support of our equipment, helping to keep site work local.

Electrotek offers a variety of services to help you with your power factor correction and harmonic filtering projects. If needed, we provide metering equipment for a nominal fee.
